Buddhist temple "Rinpoche-Bugsha"

Buddhist temple "Rinpoche-Bugsha", located on Bald Mountain, is one of the highest and most picturesque places in Ulan-Ude.

Сreated in 2000 in the form of the Buryat Republican public organization "Tibet Cultural Center "Rinpoche-Bugsha" by the venerable Yeshe-Loda Rinpoche and his associates, with the blessing of the 14th Dalai Lama. In 2002, the organization was named "Rinpoche Bugsha Buddhist Center". Along with religious activities, the centre provides training for everyone (not only clerics but non-clerics as well). The training is based on Buddhism and according to a program, specially made for Russians. In February 2004, the largest in Russia and, perhaps, in Europe, statue of the Golden Buddha was brought from China and installed in Buryatia. It is 5 meters high.
